This course is designed to teach participants the importance of fire prevention, the proper actions to be taken upon discovering a fire, and how to protect themselves with existing firefighting equipment within their work area.  

Who should attend 

Safety instructors and officers, seafarers and all personnel that need training on fire fighting and safety. 

What you will learn 

This basic course will cover the following subjects: fire chemistry, fire behavior, classes of fire, fire prevention and safe practices on board vessels, portable and semi-portable fire extinguishers, fixed fire suppression systems, and fire attack theory.
