Health surveillance and monitoring is, therefore, critical to ensure health checks, screening, procedures, assessments and biological monitoring are carried out to workers in the oil and gas sector in a specific occupational exposure. Health surveillance ensures that ill health effects are identified and detected in a workplace as early as possible so as counteractive measures can be taken.
